“Gun Owners of Vermont is encouraging residents to bring forth Article 16 / Second Amendment Sanctuary Resolutions in their towns in the hopes of sending a message to our legislators in Montpelier who seem otherwise unwilling to listen. These resolutions, while purely symbolic, are a powerful statement on behalf of the tens of thousands of law-abiding Vermont gun owners who are unhappy with the constant assault on our right to keep and bear arms. It is our hope that the act of individual towns passing Sanctuary Resolutions in defense of their Article 16 and Second Amendment rights will make it clear to our lawmakers and the governor that more gun control is the last thing Vermonter’s need right now.”
